Back in Hawaii and I’m getting excited about the Volcom Pipe event coming up, so I put together some footage from the 2011 Pipe masters. In the video, Tanner enters the Gladiator pit and breaks 2 boards, 2 leashes in the same heat and advances.
Biggie Snow Wave
Made a trip to Gourette, a small french mountain town in the Pyrenees. Lots of runs and plenty of snow for Charlotte, her cousin Charles and myself.
Hawaii 5-0
Hawaii 5-0 called and they wanted their low productions value back. So Matt, Nate and I gave them what they wanted. Took the longboards out and got as deep as we could with the Gopro.
Hunter Gatherer Blog
Hunter Lysaught is blogging it up these days. He is freshly graduated from Point Loma University and is eager to take his La Jolla roots surfing on the road and blow up in the pro ranks. Check out his blog
Rockpiles
Last week The Pagan family came to the town on the northshore with us. We had a couple classic dance-offs and a few sick sessions at Rockpiles. Thanks Lilly for filming.
Surfboard Rack
Not enough boards are breaking on the North Shore this year, so boards are piling up everywhere in the house. Our neighbor, Kevin Horn(Pro Tool man) came by and showed us the basic steps to making a mental surfboard rack.
Double Crown
A slow start to the North Shore season with Haleiwa event but swell showed for Sunset and now the swells are getting into the grove of things.
Fazio Course
Got my swing back in action at Fazio course at Turtle Bay with Nate and Matt. Got one up on Nate and didn’t lose my ball.
Zoolander Men
Boys were starting to lose their minds trying to get the GoPro to work and it reminded me of a scene from the movie “Zoolander”.
Water time
It’s been a good week on the north shore but the biggie swells haven’t shown up yet, so the boys found some caves and went for a snorkel.
